- Beginning
- We launched Resale Nation in March of 2009 after my wife and I held a garage sale the previous September. To post the sale, we spent $25 to place an ad in our local newspaper. We had four small lines of space and limited exposure. We posted signs on nearby street corners hoping people would see them. After a lot of hard work, we ended up with fewer than 20 visitors all weekend and not very high sales. It dawned on us that there had to be a better way to organize and advertise a great sale.
