he Red House is a gracious, early Georgian hunting lodge, a National Monument shaded by the leafy Oaks of Newlands and sheltering in the lee of a majestic Table Mountain. Originally dating back to the year 1729, this enchanting house is one of Cape Town's oldest surving buildings. The bedroom wing has walls over three feet thick, with high ceilings and floors glowing with the patina of Yellowwood and Oregon pine from a bygone era.
