- In a nutshell, I am nobody in the poker world, at least to date. I have however studied the game quite thoroughly, and continue to do so. I play about every day, mostly in-person $100 to $500 buy-in cash games. I started playing mostly tournaments and have converted over to cash games simply because the profits are more consistent and easier and quicker to profit from. As for success, I've won or placed high in most of the tournaments I've played, and in cash, I'm doing quite well. Do I consider myself one of the best? At my level, yes I do. I do however understand that constant study of the game is a must and I don't forget that. Even more so is constant study of different players and different styles. My goal? To build myself up gradually to play comfortably in higher cash games, i.e. $5,000 to $10,000 buy-ins. Can I play comfortably at these levels? No, not yet. Now if I was lucky enough to inherit millions of dollars or was just plain rich, it would be much easier. So I have to take the long road; the road of slowly moving up the ropes when I'm ready.
