The Vermont Humanities Council is excited to present Reading Vermont, a statewide reading and literacy initiative. Reading Vermont supports literacy programs and collaborates with Vermont’s literacy program providers and resources. The program brings the power of books to Vermonters. In 1999, Verizon established Verizon Reads to strive for a more literate America through programs that create awareness, raise funds, and encourage collaboration among literacy program providers.
