We've been smoking meat here, deep in the Ozarks for generations. Grandpa Joe began this business when he first came to the area in 1921. Originally, a means to distract folks from his moonshine/bootlegging operation, the popularity of his meat soon overtook the business. In 1934, shortly after the repeal of the prohibition act, the business went legitimate.
