Jerry started his tenure as the Daily Times publisher in June 2008, but it was not the first time he worked for the Rawlins paper. He was the Daily Times sports editor from August 2003 to April 2005. From there, he left to become the general manager/editor for the Molalla Pioneer in Oregon, before becoming the editor of the Craig Daily Press in Colorado, where he helped the paper earn its first editorial excellence award. Jerry earned his degree from the University of Northern Colorado.
