"I listen to all kinds of music, rock guitar, hard rock guitar, rock and roll, rythmn & blues, classical and country. Everything from A to Z is really cool to me. There is some music that's less appealing to me, but I keep my negative comments to myself. There's no point in trash talking other artists. I do have my favorite guitar players though like Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, John Petrucci, George Lynch, Tony MacAlpine and some others. I also like R & B, Punk Rock, Rap, some Jazz and almost everything else. It's amazing how being a guitar instructor can make a person so much more open minded. I'll even admit that I enjoy music from the Backstreet Boys, InSync and so on. Their music has some interesting guitar work and that obviously appeals to me. Slayer and all other metal music is cool too. Country music is pretty cool, also. Now that music has some really out of this world guitar work. I wouldn't say anything negative about music that I don't like because words can hurt... and later on negative words will come back.
"What style? I have no style! Seriously !!!!!!! In reality every guitarist has a certain style that makes them uniqe with their guitar playing. I just listen to all my favorite guitarists and am easily influenced by the way they play. There is nothing flashy about my guitar playing because I try to stick with the song.I try to learn as many techniqes as possible so they are at my disposal. Once in awhile I tend to go a little overboard and have to remind myself that the song should always come first."
"I have been using Ibanez RG320 guitars for quite sometime. To me they are the perfect guitar. First of all they are reasonable with the price. Secondly they are very durable and stay in tune quite nicely. The only issue I ever run into with these guitars is which color I'm going to use. I have a ton of these guitars and a few other non-Ibanez guitars. But, I favor the Ibanez guitars and use them almost all the time. I can't tell the difference between the Ibanez Edge tremolo and the TRS2 tremolo. All my guitars have the TRS2 tremolo and they work just as well as the Edge trem-system for me. Once in a while I will try a different guitar or even buy another type of guitar. But, if I had to go on stage and play I would rather use one of my Ibanez guitars. I just have to pick which RG320 I want to use out of an EVER-GROWING collection."
