Our Mission
- In 1991 Ramsign revived the manufacture of porcelain enamelled house numbers and nameplates according to original drawings and techniques. This principle has been firmly maintained, and the signs have undergone a renaissance which today makes it possible to see and order the signs shown at these pages. The Products Range
The Blue Range
- The beautiful blue housenumbers with matching blue nameplaques are Danish sign tradition at its best. The format 11 x 14 cm is the original format, which has been the Danish standard for more than a century. The same goes for the deep blue colour, the framing and the typogrphy which is true to the signs originating back to the mid of the 19th century. The Blue Range
The KVE Range
- Ramsigns's KVE range is designed by the Danish architecht Knud V. Engelhardt in 1927. The house numbers were originally designed for the Municipality of Gentofte in northern Copenhagen, where all the street signs are also designed by KVE. The signs stand today as a testimony of Knud V. Engelhardt's profound graphic skills and attention to detail. The KVE Range
The Skagen Range
- The rust red "Skagen" house numbers and nameplaques origins from the signage of the rust red houses of Skagen, a village at the most northern tip of Denmark, where this type of design is predominant. The "Skagen" range of enamelled signs brings about associations to the world famous Skagen painters P.S. Krøyer, Poul and Anna Anker, cozy fisherman shacks, Nordic summer nights, and white dunes of sand. The Skagen Range
The Oslo Range
- Ramsign's black & white range origins from Oslo where the signs has been used throughout the 20th century. But also in Sweden these signs are widely in use. The Oslo Range
The Product Qualities
The most evident quality of the house numbers is the classic and well known design which is common throughout Denmark and most of Europe. The most significant functional quality is the extremely hardy and salt-tolerant properties of the enamel, which gives unsurpassed resistance to sun, water and corrosive environments. All our signs are enamelled on the back in order to prevent corrosion. This ensures every sign a long and almost maintanance free life.
