Every year, over 15,000 pets are destroyed by the only county animal shelter within 80 miles due to over-population, abandonment, relinquishment and the lack of any available alternatives! SPCA or Humane Society options do not exist in this desert community to those that wish they could make a difference! Thousands more of puppy litters and adult dogs are abandoned in the desert by humans driving away without caring how, or if, these pets will survive the harsh environment on their own.
Rainbow Rescue is a no-kill, IRS 501 (c) 3 non-profit dog and cat rescue committed to helping those rescued pets find their new life opportunities. Each pet is provided adoption services, medical care, rehabilitation, socialization training and spay or neuter procedures before placement with their new families. Medical, shot and sterilization certificates are made immediately available to adopting families. We are corporate sponsored for adoptions by PetsMart Luv-A Pet programs and allow families to meet their new pets at their private boarding kennel. As a part of your tax-deductible adoption donation, we also provide free obedience advice or training to both pets and humans alike to ensure a full, loving lifetime together.
The final ingredient to the gift of new lives to our pets is as simple as your caring. Your caring through our adoption, volunteer, foster, pet sponsor or donation programs will help us provide the secret to their successes. We welcome you to their family!
