Our History In June of 1999, several greyhound adoption volunteers decided it was time to form an organization to promote greyhound adoption and to find homes for greyhounds that could not be placed in the Wichita Greyhound Park adoption program. This includes overflows from the racing kennels and greyhounds rescued from animal shelters and private homes. The name chosen for the organization was Race The Wind Greyhound Adoption. Race The Wind Greyhound Adoption, Inc.
