Dr. Herbert L. Gould, M.D. studied at Bowdoin College, Harvard University, the London Institute of Ophthalmology and Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons where he received his M.D.. Dr. Gould is an Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at the New York Medical College. He interned at Bellvue Hospital NYC, spent 5 years as a USAF flight surgeon and had his eye residency at Manhattan Eye and Ear Hospital. He has specialized in Corneal Surgery.
Dr. Herbert L. Gould, M.D., FACS. is widely recognized throughout the United States as a pioneer in the development of refractive surgery.
Since his initial refractive surgery training (1980) and a period of study at the Moscow Eye Institute, he has personally performed over thousands of refractive procedures to correct nearsightedness and astigmatism and has trained hundreds of physicians in the refinements of the procedure.
