- Hunt-Smith-Peabody and the Stiles Insurance Agency joined forces in January of 1998. The newly created entity, joining together two of Fenton’s oldest agencies, was named Smith-Peabody-Stiles. The history of the two firms finds HSP dating back to 1938 when Ray Hunt opened an office in his home. The Stiles agency dates to 1919 when D.R. Stiles hung out his shingle.
