- SofTrends, Inc. (www.softrends.com), through its WebMasters operating unit (www.webmst.com) provides private messaging services via electronic communications networks, as one of its many offerings. These are similar to ICQ and Instant Messenger, and include WebMessenger, QuickMessenger, VoiceMessenger, VideoMessenger and CallMessenger, among others. They are also integrated into our proprietary service networks, including Catholic Services Network (www.catholicnet.com), one of the largest religious sites in the world. Specifically, QuickMessenger is a real-time, web-based conferencing system, similar to a chat room, but with extended capabilities, such as white board posting. A broad range of users, including multi-national corporations and the U.S. government, especially the Department of Energy, has used it. Additionally, on September 11, 1998, SofTrends was granted tradename registration #1037912 by the Secretary of State, State of Ohio, for QUICKMESSENGER.
