Title
Quarrymans Walk, Nuneaton, Canal Towpath Trail for Schools - Part of Coventry Canal, Harsthill Canal Yard to Tuttle Hill Bridge.
Description
The Quarryman’s Walk runs along a two and a half mile stretch of the Coventry Canal at Hartshill, just North of Nuneaton. This stretch of the canal was built in 1773 to transport the stone from the quarries of Hartshill. The rock quarried at Hartshill is found in very few places in England so people wanted it transported all over the country.
