- CapeTown has many lovely hotels. But we personally have enjoyed staying in the Bed & Breakfast (or even "self catering") places (currently living in one at the moment!). Those we've experienced have been wonderful, offering amazingly great value relative to the cost of a hotel, with at least the same level of comfort, most of the same conveniences, and a more relaxed, cozy ambiance. Another alternative to a hotel, for groups of travelers, is to rent a Holiday House - best done via reputable agents. Most of these holiday homes, as well as B&B's, will require you to make a deposit fairly early on to secure your accommodation over the peak season.
