Pulis (or Pulik) are compact, and well-balanced dogs. The characteristic feature of the breed is its shaggy coat. The coat is dense, and weather-resistant. Solid colors of black, gray and white are acceptable. The dog's head is well proportionate. The almond-shaped eyes are rather deep set. They are dark brown with black eye rims. The hanging ears are slightly higher than the level of the eyes. The Puli's nose is black. The teeth should meet in a scissors bite.
