Piggy Toes “a children’s shoes boutique” was conceived in 1999 by mother and daughter Mary Fink and Jennifer Thomas after the birth of Jennifer’s first child and Mary’s first grandchild Olivia! Mary and Jennifer had long dreamed of starting a business together. After trying to find a high quality and unique children’s shoes for Olivia, Mary and Jennifer realized the Chicago Metro’s areas selection left a lot to be desired. As a result, the idea was born to open a children’s shoe boutique specializing in European shoes and unique accessories.
Jennifer’s background as a shoe buyer for Nordstrom and Mary’s experience as an interior designer seemed a perfect match. This team has created a boutique that is both fashionable and fun for adult and child alike. Upon entering Piggy Toes you immediately realize you are not in any ordinary children’s shoe store. There is a unique mix of shoes, sandles, boots and pre-walker booties by several European designers including: Naturino, Aster, Shoe Be Doo, Mod8, Buckle My Shoe, Moschino, Bumper, Oilily and Roberto Cavalli.
