Welcome to Pacific States Plastics

Description

Pacific States Box and Basket Company began in 1880 in San Francisco CA as the Weston Basket and Barrel Company. The founder of which was Herman Paine SR. He then moved to Los Angeles, CA where he started the Southern California Box and Basket Company. He later purchased the veneer plant in Raymond, WA, the excelsior plant in Eugene OR, and the Florin Basket Company in Sacramento, CA.

In the early 1920's, He formed Pacific States Box and Basket Company as the holding company for these other divisions and manufactured baskets and other containers for the fresh berry growers in Southern California and produce growers all over the country. The company grew to support up to 500 employees and helped to swing the vote to annex Tropico into the city of Glendale.

In 1958, the company developed the molding division of Pacific States Plastics and began converting most of the container production to plastic. Now as part of Molding Corporation of America, we have remained a supplier to the produce industry for over 118 years.
