Printingtalk is a London-based weekly email newsletter aimed at printers and print buyers, covering the latest developments in printing news worldwide.
The title's history reflects the changes on the internet during the first half of the decade; it set up a website as a backup resource for readers, but with the explosion in the use of search, visitors to the website quickly passed the newsletter circulation. The website is unusual in that it publishes every printing-related news story it receives, without charge, unlike most websites which take the traditional trade journal approach of editor selection. The Editor of both the newsletter and the website is Ian Mayor.
In May 2006, Printingtalk, along with a series of related newsletters and websites which had been launched subsequently by Pro-Talk Ltd, were bought by London-based Centaur Media plc, which retained the staff and began to invest in expansion.
