The nature center building was built in 1998 with seed funds given to Kenosha County by Robert Pringle, Sr.'s sister, Fanny Pringle. To learn more about the Pringle Family and the Nature Center click here The Hoy Audubon Society, the Kenosha/Racine chapter of the National Audubon Society, entered into a contract with Kenosha County to operate the nature center on April 1, 2004.
