- I survived a near-fatal car crash when I was only 18 years old.... The driver was under the influence of alcohol and fell asleep at the wheel. I was a passanger in the vehicle and I was ejected when the car went off the road and flipped end over end three times... I was ejected because I was not wearing a seatbelt. I sustained life-threatening injuries and had to be life-flighted to the hospital... I was in a coma for one month, and in the hospital for over a year and had 18 major surgeries.. The Doctor said I would never walk, talk or be more than a third grade level mental functioning... After years of rehab and loving support from family and friends I have over-come most of my injuries... I attribute alot of my recovery to the daily Massages my parents gave to me and the healing power of loving touch...I also attribute my recovery to my competitive spirit from being an Athlete, Physical Fitness and my strong faith in Christ Jesus.
