SNAP Innovation GmbH was founded in February 1996 by Barry Leslie, Paul McCullagh and Ulrich Zimmer, systems programmers and consultants with many years experience in client/server technology and data-processing in the print-media industry. From the beginning, SNAP focussed on the development and sales of client/server database technology, specializing in inter- and intranet systems.

Today SNAP works with a number of prominent national and international companies in Europe and the United States. Together with its partners SNAP has provided solutions for customers such as Adobe, Cisco and Sun Microsystems.

SNAP products are also used in key areas of the production of newspapers and magazines such as Der Spiegel, Die Zeit, FOCUS, Hannoversche Allgemeine Zeitung, Koelner Express. Our customers include german publishers Burda and Madsack and international publishers such as McGraw-Hill, Fortune and Sun Media Corporation.
