PLS has developed, a very low cost, high accuracy, programmable temperature measurement system for the Industrial Temperature Probe Industry. Low cost manufacturing of the temperature sensor + transmitter assembly is achieved by using surface mounted sensor and transmitter components on a flexible circuit substrate, and using the flex to connect the sensor to the transmitter. Manufacturing cost is further reduced by making and testing multiple assemblies together on one flex panel.
