Since 1986, Prairie Land String Band has been entertaining audiences across the Southwest with their unique brand of traditional style stringband music. Dressed in costumes from the late 1800s, the band presents a unique visual as well as musical experience.
Prairie Land String Band not only performs the traditional music of post-civil war era, but also Cowboy, Blues, Celtic and American Folk music ranging from songs of the sea to traditional murder ballads.
While dedicated to the preservation of old-time, stringband and folk music, the members of Prairie Land like to show their versatility by performing more modern compositions as well.
