Pragmatism
- Pragmatism keeps us bound to reality.
- Without Pragmatism,
- Hope would become wishful thinking,
- Creativity would lead only to impractical fantasies,
- and Perseverence would ultimately get us nowhere.
Pragmatism is about "doing the best we can with what we've got." It's about recognizing that the world and human nature don't necessarily work the way we'd like them to, and that we'll have to adapt to them rather than forcing them to adapt to us. It's about patience, too: Perseverence is necessary because the reality is that the drastic changes we need to make won't happen quickly (or if somehow they do, then they surely won't last).
