Title

The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice Glasgow Home

Description

The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice brings comfort and peace of mind to patients for whom cure is no longer possible.

We take a holistic approach, recognising our patients' emotional, social and spiritual needs as well as practising advanced pain and symptom control. We treat the person, not the disease - and also offer practical and emotional support to families and carers in this most difficult of times.

The Hospice began life as the New Glasgow Hospice Trust in the early 1980s. We acquired our Royal name on becoming a wedding gift to The Prince & Princess of Wales. By 1983 we had a home - albeit without a roof over our heads - in a derelict terrace in Carlton Place. From that foothold, we have built a centre of excellence in the heart of Glasgow, a community which suffers far more than its share of deaths from cancer.
