ABOUT THE SHOP
At Parker Bros. Powersports, we are motorcyclists first and foremost. Street riders, trail riders, motocrossers, road & supermoto racers. Our store is the classroom, riding is our homework.
The store is owned by me (Dave Grummett) and my wife Jill. For all the time I spent as a kid hanging out in bike shops, I never envisioned owning one. Sure, I raced MX, toured, and even won a Canadian Pro roadracing championship. But I never thought about working in motorcycling. I already had a good career as manager of health, safety and engineering at a large automotive manufacturer. Good status, good money but I was (still am) a day dreamer and motorcycling consumed my thoughts.
About that time Bruce Parker proposed I join him in establishing a store in Toronto. We opened Parker Bros. Powersports in the spring of 1992. In the fall of 1994, Bruce left the store to become Joe Rocket (previously an in house brand). At that point I became the only Bros. in Parker Bros.
