Possum Ridge Farm and Gardens
Description
We are a small, family owned and operated daylily nursery in Mount Eden, Kentucky, located next to Taylorsville Lake State Park. My husband Wally and I started growing daylilies about 7 years ago when we bought 30 acres in Mount Eden. I do not think either of us anticipated how involved or enthralled we would be with daylilies when we planted that first daylily. I truly LOVE daylilies. Some more than others maybe, but I love them all. They are so easy to grow and soooooo forgiving.
That first daylily multiplied into many others and now we grow over 1000 cultivars and thousands of plants We have spent many weekends digging beds, planting daylilies, watching them grow, dividing them and watching them grow some more. It has been hard work but a labor of love. Nothing is more relaxing for me than working in the daylily beds whether it’s planting, pulling weeds or simply sitting among them after a long day at the office. We have been truly blessed.
We have many oldies but goodies as well as some of the latest cutting-edge hybrids, adding new ones all of the time as the budget allows. While we do not specialize in any one type of daylily, we do like to offer a variety of rebloomers as well as late blooming flowers.
