- Hey! My name is Adam. I'm 22 years old, gay, and hiv positive. I've been reading puffta for a few years now, the site really helped me come out, understand a bit more about what's out there to explore and teach me about sex. We all make our own choices, I guess I chose to ignore puffta's safe sex message. At 17 I was going out with a guy who was a bit older than me, and obviously much wiser than me. We always used condoms. When I told my friends I was gay, they asked if I was always safe. It was as if they thought I would immediately get hiv just for being gay. I guess living in a village up north they didn't really know much about hiv and aids. I sucked a lad off one time when I was 16 and swallowed his spunk. I immediately called the Lesbian & Gay Switchboard and asked if I would get hiv, I must have been as stupid as my straight friends.
