- Portland Modern is a project that showcases the diverse and prolific work of visual artists throughout the Portland, Oregon metro area. Striving to give exposure to both newly emerging and established artists, we publish and distribute an annual catalog featuring the work of artists selected by an independent curator or group of curators. Corresponding exhibitions are also mounted throughout the city, collaborating with independent and commercial art venues. We are primarily interested in artists creating in a contemporary manner whose work is conceptually engaging, aesthetically compelling, and demonstrates deft handling of the medium.
