My life before becoming a broker was a journey of experience from teaching English in Czechoslovakia (when it was Czechoslovakia; seeing the development for the good and the bad). to traveling around Europe with a dance company, to owning my own business. I have been a traveler but I have chosen Portland to be my home because it is distinctive in its' urban quality while maintaining the natural beauty that surrounds it and the tolerant political environment.
Through my travels I have learned languages so that I could COMMUNICATE with all people, working with a dance company taught me how to LISTEN to people and UNDERSTAND how to solve problems when trying to collaborate. Owning my own business taught me how to develop an idea and make it a reality through hard work and devotion. I learned to be a stratagist, how to troubleshoot, as well as how to fine tune marketing skills. This combined experience has proven invaluable to creating lasting relationships with people who return again and again to work with me because they know that I will listen to their needs and seek to find the best match for the best possible price, for both buyers and sellers.
My interest in urban and cultural development brought me to real estate. Deeply understanding the intricacies and balances of creating a "habitable for all" community has lead me to delve into Portlands' interesting real estate market with undying passion and energy. I have played a small role in creating marketing strategies for a new project that will raise the standard downtown and bring more depth to our city. I know the difficulty of becoming a homeowner in this market and I strive to find ways to make that happen for those who desire it. The heavy sales pitch is not my style, I see myself more as a consultant who is in service to find that perfect match for you. I study the market so that I can bring a knowledgeable analysis to the table and I utilize technology to be on the cutting edge, allowing me to be among the first to hear of new listings and developments.
