Master funds and wraps have grown phenomenally over the past decade, as an efficient and effective means of transacting and administering the plethora of investment securities on offer. Implementation has come a long way.
However, there is still a major deficiency in the portfolio design phase prior to implementation. Decision support has not kept pace - it is still a very fragmented, disaggregated portfolio construction info & tools environment. And it is getting worse all the time as more information and research floods the market.
Portfolio design decision-making is not as efficient and effective as it needs to be, especially in these uncertain times when there are more decisions than ever to be made and new ideas to be considered.
