Poor People's Resources
Poor people's activists have created this category to amass an online list of poor people's resources, particularly in the U.S. We invite anyone with such information to add it to this wiki as we take on the long task of building a true poor people's wiki directory!
We are looking for information that is especially helpful in helping low-income people with survival issues, such as:
- poor people's organizations
- resources/funds/charity assistance
- advocacy
- emergency food/shelter/clothing
- public assistance information
- food banks
- legal help
- know-your-rights information
- domestic violence
- newspapers, e-magazines
- and other related sources of help and information.
At this time, we are interested in (1) grassroots and community-based groups that are working to alleviate and eradicate poverty; and (2) listings on traditional social service agencies and non-profits. As it grows, we will also make it better looking and add other cool tools!
