Launched in 1982, Politics in Minnesota began as a weekly print newsletter written by founders, DJ Leary and Wy Spano. In 1993, Sarah Janecek joined the PIM team. In 2005, Leary and Spano retired from the organization and Janecek moved the newsletter to an online publication.
