It's a familly thing. Starting with my mother's love of lavender. She planted the most amazing lavender bed in front of her kitchen window about five years ago. A while later I noticed how well lavenders grew in Pitsford. As I wanted to do something interesting that I could include my children in, and yet still be a full time mother. So 2 years ago I started growing and selling just a few from my garden.
With out familly and friends to lend a hand Pitsford Lavender would be just an idea. We have a lot of fun; my wonderful husband has endless patience! My dad provides extra space I need on the farm for the plants (overlooking Pitsford) and my special mother who inspires me, looks after my children…. And is always helping!I have also had lots of advice from Emily, John & Nick at Cramden , and from one of the countries leading experts on lavender for advice Simon Charlesworth of Downderry Nurseries. And Ikram, who has designed this site you are reading (Thankyou!)
