PhysioNet is a Web site containing topics for Physiotherapists / Physical Therapists on how to use the Internet to aid their practice and healthcare. The information on this site is directed at New Zealand physiotherapists but will also interest international practitioners.
The Internet is a vast repository and hidden within this sea of human output is some very useful information for the healthcare practitioner. Have you ever wondered how to join a 'health related discussion list,' start your own 'weblog,' or wanted to conduct a well organised search strategy to find health information on the Internet?
The PhysioNet Web site contains an electronic archive of articles written by Erik Dombroski (a physiotherapist) first published in the 'Newsletter' of the New Zealand Society of Physiotherapists Inc. entitled, "Physiotherapy and the Internet." This PhysioNet Web site mirrors those articles but provides all the advantages of the on-line environment, i.e. 24/7 availability and hyperlinking to all electronic resources referred to in any of the articles published here.
