A Coombs Pet Centre was first opened back in November 1934 by Allan Coombs and his wife Joan Coombs. At that time the store only sold cracked eggs, chickens and bird feed. Seeing out the second world war A Coombs has seen some incredible changes. After the war there was rationing and people used to queue for hours outside the store in order to get their eggs.
