Peter Burnett is a third to fifth grade elementary school in the Wiseburn School District. It was founded in 1956 but closed in 1980, after a decline in enrollment in the Wiseburn District. Seventeen years later, facing overcrowding in its other schools, Wiseburn re-opened Peter Burnett in 1997. Burnett was the newest of Wiseburn's schools, until the recent construction of Anza Elementary and the new Dana Middle School. Peter Burnett is home to approximately 400 students.
