Description
People for Action is the Neighbourhood Initiatives Foundation's website for national housing and regeneration organsiations, a site committed to sharing knowledge and best practice, to building strong communities and putting power and influence into the hands of lcoal people.
People for Action was set up in 1994 to help housing associations collaborate with each other to improve and empower the communities they serve. People for Action's members are committed to a conscious effort top invest in their communities; investment of resources, information and a transfer of power.
In 2005 People for Action found itself in financial difficulties, difficulties that were impossible to overcome. Regretfully, the organisation closed down, but the Neighbourhood Initiatives Foundation (NIF), with which PfA had worked for some years, agreed to take over the management of the PfA website.
