Description

The Rev. Howard Bradshaw, and his wife, Ann, founded The Pentecostals of Troy in the front room of their home in the fall of 1973. Later that year, the small congregation moved into a storefront building in the business district, eventually acquiring that facility and an adjoining building. At one point in time, the church also rented two other buildings in the business district in order to house the congregation.

In the spring of 1989, the church purchased its current building at 312 South Main Street. The former Presbyterian Church was renovated and the congregation moved into it that summer.

In November of 1993, the Rev. Brian Bradshaw, and his wife, Lori, assumed the pastorate of the church with Rev. Howard Bradshaw being made Bishop. Under their combined leadership, three homes, with adjoining property to the church, have been bought and are being used for classrooms. The sanctuary and two of the buildings have been paid for and the church is considering building a new sanctuary at its present location to house the growing congregation.
