Title

Plymouth Community Partnership

Description

When a group becomes a member of PCP it identifies one of ten sectors with which it wishes to be associated. The decision as to which sector to choose will be based on the main interests of the group and the type of other groups with which it feels it has most affinity. (For example a community association is likely to choose the sector in which most other community associations are located.)

PCP is structured as a company limited by guarantee and a registered charity. As a company our constitution or governing instrument takes the form of a Memorandum and Articles of Association. This states our objects as:

to promote any charitable purpose for the benefit of the inhabitants of and those working in or with a place of business within the City of Plymouth (or any area or district which shall replace the same) ("the Area of Benefit") and in particular the advancement of education, the preservation and protection of good health and the relief of poverty and improvement of conditions of life of such inhabitants and persons above mentioned.
