Golden Gate Region is one of the nation's oldest, largest and most active regions of the Porsche Club of America, serving San Francisco, San Mateo and Santa Clara counties in Northern California. Our club was founded in 1960 and now has over 1,600 members. We publish a monthly magazine, The Nugget, with articles about events, tech and competition tips.
We offer a wide range of activities, with an emphasis on opportinities to learn to drive your Porsche to its full potential. Most events have instruction. Autocrossing involves negotiating a pre-designed closed course averaging two minutes in duration. There are always instructors available at our events, and we usually host weekend autocross schools in the spring and fall. is usually one autocross a month throughout the dry season.
