Paw Placement: A Helping Hand for Pets was founded in December 2002 by Jeannine Petersen and Jenny D'Amore. Both women had strong backgrounds in animal rescue and from experience, created an organization where volunteers are valued and no animal is euthanized once he or she comes into our care (unless quality of life is an issue).

Paw Placement's mission is to find committed homes for cats and dogs whose owners can no longer provide quality care due to unforeseen circumstances. Our goal is to "re-home" displaced animals based upon thoughtful consideration of the animals' best interests.

Our organization is one of the few that takes cats and dogs from the general public. Paw Placement does have SPECIFIC POLICIES regarding which animals directly meet our mission. However, we try to help as many animals as possible.
