Paul first became interested in Photography at the age of 8 after receiving a self-build camera kit as a present and further inspired by a chance encounter with Patrick Lichfield while photographing the grounds of Shugborough Hall. "although he was obviously in a rush to be somewhere he still took the time and trouble to give some friendly advice and encouragement to an over enthusiastic and impatient child, a real gent"
Paul now specialises in monochrome fine art and colour landscape photography utilising both large and medium format equipment and longstanding craftsmanship combined with, where appropriate, the latest in digital technology to enhance but not manipulate certain images.
Paul is interested in not just capturing the 'truth' in an image but also the 'spirit' of a moment in time.
