- In 11th grade I began attending Saturday pre-college courses in drawing at Carnegie Mellon University. I continued on at CMU to become a college freshman. In the winter of my senior year, I interned at MAD Magazine. MAD had never had an art intern before, so in lieu of pay, they offered me the title of "first art intern." I accepted. We arrived to work late, stayed late, drank wine in the office, and went to parties at the Society of Illustrators.
