The first thing that will probably occur to us is that some of the people in the photographs are very demonstrative, they express their feelings very freely, without inhibitions. This kind of strong religious fervour may come as a shock to some wedding photographers, when they attend this kind of wedding for the first time, while to others it may not be a shock at all, they may be quite used to it.
I'm thinking of wedding photographers who live in areas or regions of the world where this is the dominant style of Christianity; the Southern states of the United States, perhaps.
I have to admit that this religious fundamentalism came as a shock to me, that psychologically I wasn't prepared for it. This is rather ridiculous because like most other people I have a good idea of what happens at these occasions. It was one of those cases where, no matter how much you are aware of something, no matter how much you are aware of what is likely to happen, it is still quite a shock when it actually happens.
