I started playing with web design in high school while doing an independent study with graphic design. Having only Adobe GoLive (v4?) at my disposal, I created a small website for the Technology Education department. Then, for my senior year, the graphic design teacher was able to put together a test-run class for web design: a year long course of seeing what we could do. I quickly became bored with the limitations of the class and my good friend the teacher suggested that I do another independent study and focus on whatever type of project I wanted to do, thus ending my fascination with making web sites...
After my freshman year in college I returned to having an eye for photography, quickly purchased a decent camera and went to work on that. I liked my photos, but they did me no good just sitting on my computer. I needed an outlet to share them. The obvious choice was to go to the web.
