Title

The George Street Patsy's - Dunedin's Wooden Band

Description

In the beginning of early 2002 a plan was hatched by Graeme Peters and Matt Langley to put an acoustic duo together and play a few gigs.

They also busked on George Street for the odd bit of coin. This lasted a month or two and then they got all carried away and hooked Paul Southworth in to play some bass. Next was the addition of drummer Jake Langley.

The band was now complete, after quickly putting a plan in place for world domination The George Street Patsy's got a gig at the Taieri AMP show. "This may not have been our best gig but we did see an Alpaca spontaneously combust" said Graeme. With a southerly front going through delivering torrential rain and hardship, The GSP's managed to at least get a couple of cowboys to say "Good on ya blokes" and give a luke warm round of applause.
