Patrice-Anne Rutledge is a California-based freelance journalist and bestselling author who writes about technology, business, and digital living. Since 1994 Patrice has written 22 non-fiction books for leading publishers including Macmillan, Prentice Hall, Random House, Pearson, and Ziff-Davis Press. Her most recent book, Special Edition Using Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2003, received rave reviews from CEOs in the communications industry, including InFocus and IABC. Her book on desktop design, The Essential Publisher Book, was named one of Amazon.com's top design books of the year. Other recent titles include Smart Travel: Total Planning on Your Computer and Your Home Office. Many of her books have been translated and are currently available in 11 languages. She is currently working on her latest book, The Web-Savvy Writer: Online Book Promotion with a High-Tech Twist, due out in early 2006.
Patrice has also contributed more than 100 articles to magazines, newspapers, and websites around the world. In her professional career, Patrice has managed a wide variety of technical, marketing, and corporate communications programs for leading international organizations. She is a specialist in global business communications and communication technologies including blogging, RSS, search engine optimization (SEO), podcasting, webcasting, PPC advertising, and online public relations.
