This is but one of the ideas envisioned by the late Judge Lorenzo E. Patiño when he agreed to be the founding Dean of the University of Northern California. Dean Patiño encouraged all students who wanted a legal education to pursue their goals vigorously, even though the sacrifices would sometimes be great.
